Meet Miloš Bajić from Belgrade, Serbia
. He is 45 years old and has been flying the D1 for three years. Let’s get to know Miloš a little better.
I started aeromodelling as a child, competing with free-flight models. Around ten years ago, I rediscovered the hobby through RC flying, first with aerobatic airplanes and helicopters. About four to five years ago, I discovered F3K, and since then I have also been competing at local contests.
At a competition in Croatia, I met Arijan and watched both him and the D1S fly. After the contest, he let me try the model, and I immediately noticed how much better it performed compared to the one I was flying. That was the moment I decided to get my own D1S and explore its full potential.
I try to keep flying as a hobby because it has an important place in my life. At the same time, I enjoy competing whenever work and other responsibilities allow it. Competitions give recreational flying a new sense of purpose. They encourage you to develop your knowledge, skills, and understanding of flying, making F3K a truly meaningful hobby.
Definitely those moments when I can feel that the D1S is simply performing better than the models around it. I’ve experienced that several times at competitions. I’m still exploring different setups and always chasing that feeling. Whether it’s climbing in ghost lift, delivering an exceptional launch, or simply giving me more than I expected—those are the moments that make flying the D1S so special.
