I’m Nicolas Chansard, 19 years old, from France. I mainly fly F5J and I’m currently studying science and materials. Since the end of 2024, I’ve also been flying F3K.
How did you get into RC flying?
My father took me to the flying field from a very young age. I started learning to fly when I was six and entered my first competitions shortly after.
Why did you start flying the D1S?
I had been interested in F3K for a long time and wanted to try a new-generation glider. When I saw the D1S, its features and geometry caught my attention.
How often do you fly and compete today?
I mainly fly on weekends. Until now, I’ve mostly flown F3K for fun, but this year I took part in a national competition and I’m planning to compete more in the coming seasons.
What do you do when you’re not flying?
Besides studying, I enjoy watching videos about different topics related to culture and entertainment.
